Sam Wu, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), Intern
My passion for helping others started with a curiosity about life’s toughest moments—grief, illness, disappointment, and more. With over 10 years of experience, I’ve been honored to walk with people and families through their challenges.
I use a variety of therapy methods like person-centered, Gestalt, CBT, and Grief Support, tailoring each session to your unique story. My aim is to create a safe space where you feel seen, heard, and ready to heal.
Before becoming a therapist, I served as a hospital chaplain, supporting people through serious illness and end-of-life issues. I’ve spoken at the University of Waterloo about disappointment and worked with groups like the Canadian Fabry Association on resilience strategies.
I have a Master of Divinity and Master of Christian Leadership, focusing on midlife crises, plus Clinical Pastoral Education. I’m now studying for a Master’s in Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy to serve you better. I recently obtained registration as a psychotherapist (Qualifying status).
At home, I’m married to Laura and dad to three amazing boys, two adopted. Family keeps me grounded, teaching me about connection and love.
It’s a privilege to join your story. No one should face life’s hardest times alone—I’m here to walk with you. Let’s start this journey together!
